THE 14TH ANNUAL HARTFORD, CT – The 14th Annual Connecticut Pet Show, sponsored by PETCO and PETCO Foundation, opens October 29th and 30th, 2005 at the Connecticut Expo Center. Hundreds of exhibitors are expected offering a wild weekend filled with animal entertainment and information plus pet products and services. The Connecticut Pet Show features, The AKC Parade of Purebred Dogs, The International Cat Association Cat Show, with over 100 breeds of exotic and domestic purebred cats, The Rare and Ancient Dog Breed Show, featuring extremely rare breeds in a live dog show competition, Police and protection dog demos, Bwana Jim’s Reptile Show, Animals Everywhere and much more. Plus, meet radio personality Laurie Fass, host of Pet Talk. Guests of the show can get answers to their pet questions, right from the expert. Numerous local and national rescue leagues, breed clubs and shelters will be on hand with information on dogs and cats available for adoption. Well-trained and socialized pets are invited to attend. The 14th Annual Connecticut Pet Show is produced by Osborne/Jenks Productions, Inc. and runs October 29th and 30th, 2005. Show hours are Saturday 11 am to 6 pm and Sunday 11 am to 6 pm. Tickets are available at the door. Bring one or more non-perishable dog/cat food items and get $1.00 off an adult admission price. All proceeds go to Helping Paws Animal Shelter for distribution to area shelters and rescue operations.
