Here comes….the letter carrier?

From invitations and RSVPs to save-the-dates and thank you notes, your letter carrier becomes the first guest to any wedding.  Visitors to the 23rd annual Connecticut Bridal Expo and 7th annual Hartford Bridal Expo can save at least one trip to the Post Office by visiting the Postal Service booth at this weekend’s Bridal Expo.  Let the Postal Service guide you to beautiful postage selections for your wedding needs – including picture-perfect Photo Stamps or personalized, professionally printed cards and postcards through the Postal Service’s website, www.usps.com.  

And, for the first time at the Bridal Expo, the Postal Service will also help process passports for your honeymoon and travel needs.  Passport forms will be available or download passport forms from www.usps.com.  You will need to present proof of US Citizenship by supplying a certified birth certificate with a registrar's raised, embossed, impressed or multicolored seal. Others may need to obtain a consular report of birth abroad or a naturalization certificate.  You will also need proof of identity which can include a previous U.S. passport, a Naturalization Certificate, a valid Driver's license, a Government ID or Military ID issued to military personnel. All passport applicants also must provide a Social Security number.

For applicants age 16 and over, the passport fee is $67, payable by check to the Department of State.  An execution fee of $30, payable to the Postal Service by cash or check, will also be accepted at the Expo. Applicants under 16 pay $52 for a passport and $30 for execution fees.  Expedited passport processing is provided at an extra cost.  

And here’s an exclusive for Bridal Expo guests:  The Postal Service will provide a set of free passport photos (value: $15) with a completed passport application to each Bride when the Groom (or another family member) also files a passport application with a paid photo at the Expo.  Signed, sealed, delivered…it’s yours!
